The determination of safety and effectiveness of contemporary total knee replacement systems relies on laboratory evaluation of the stability, structural integrity and durability of these devices. ORL has more than two decades of experience performing sophisticated finite element analyses to determine the surface and subsurface stresses of polymer components utilized in partial and total knee replacement designs for fulfillment of ASTM F2083-11.

Beyond having expertise in custom modeling, ORL continues to present and publish data derived from this advancing evaluative technology and supporting the education of regulatory agency personnel and standards organizations.
