Mechanical Testing
ORL is globally recognized as a leading provider of standardized (ASTM/ISO) and custom orthopaedic device evaluation. ORL testing services are supported by four decades of expertise in solving complex problems related to the musculoskeletal system.
Wear Testing
Before consensus-approved testing standards were available for the wear and durability evaluation of spinal disc replacement systems, ORL designed, patented and manufactured proprietary, customizable, multi-directional electro-mechanical joint simulators. These simulators were then adapted to address the regulatory wear testing requirements for total ankle replacements and other small joint arthroplasty systems.
Computational Analysis
ORL has unique expertise in the development of sophisticated computational models rendering realistic metal and polymer component stresses through finite element analysis in addition to state-of-the-art kinematic performance and constraint evaluations.
